The main attraction of this area is its wines, which stand out for their quality, for their prestige international and for its exquisite taste. The stately grape of the Mencía red variety is one of the most cultivated and, with heroic viticulture as a great reference in the world of wine. Landscape of these areas is marked by bacchanalian vineyards that adorn the banks of the river canyons, also known as socalcos. This is the origin of one of wine appellations in Galicia. DO. REGINA VIARUM WINERY

Regina Viarium Experience
In the heart of the Ribeira Sacra, this visit will transport you to the beginnings and origins of the Amandi viticulture. It is located in a place overlooking steep slopes that shelter the best varieties of the area and each year they challenge the “heroic winegrowers” who take care of them.
ADEGA ALGUEIRA

A family winery
The beginnings of this winery date back to 1980, when Fernando and his wife Ana began to take care of some vineyards. Within a few years, they created the Algueira brand and they created a new warehouse that was adequate to face the challenges of expansion. Their vineyards, located on the banks of the river Sil, have been built in socalcos on slopes of up to 75degrees of incline and are one of the greatest wine tourism attractions in Galicia.
Tourist activities in the area range from winery tastings, boat tours along of the vineyards or lunch in a traditional cuisine restaurant.

The prestigious vineyard of Adega Terra Barava and its old Winery in Doade (Sober) has been more than 10 years producing an exquisite natural wine and in an incomparable and wonderful environment with views to the Sil canyons. VAL DA LENDA WINERY

Authentic Mencia
Located to the south of the province of Lugo, in the interior of Galicia, is the small and valued wine region of Amandi, belonging to the Ribeira Sacra appellation. In these soils uniformity is non-existent, except that they have in common their acid reaction and its good fertility, predominating the red varieties among which the Mencía, the true pillar of the winery’s viticulture.
AMANDI RECTORAL WINERY

Wines of unmistakable character
An old rectory with dimensions of 1000m2 from the 17th century gives its name to this winery, which is located in the province of Lugo in the heart of Amandi. This winery is a referent of the D.O. of Ribeira Sacra, not only because it is the most valuable in volume with more than 2 million bottles a year, but because they are directly responsible for the development of this wine apellation, marking its place on the map throughout the world.

The beginnings of these wineries begin in 2005. It is located in Doade (Sober), full heart of the Ribeira Sacra with vineyards on the banks of the Sil River, know that they have endured of time and kept in top shape to provide high quality grapes, belonging to the Mencia variety. Its wines are made in a cellar with modern architecture and belong to the prestigious Ribeira Sacra apellation.
ADEGA VELLA

Wine of always
A family winery with a history worth knowing. Its construction dates back to the 12th century and formed part of a church until the 19th century. Being located in Abeleda, Teixeira, Ourense and It is made up of 13 hectares in which quality prevails and the objective of making a tasty wine that invite you to savor each glass. For the elaboration of this wine alternative, methods are combined modern and traditional, such as the treading of grapes with the feet or the movement by hand during the fermentation.
OLERÍA RECTORAL DE GUNDIVÓS

Millennial art
Gundivós Rectoral is a noble construction that dates back to the 18th century. Today it has been transformed into an authentic pottery center in which the complete ritual of the Gundivós pottery is kept alive. The low lathe, cooking with firewood and the finishes with pitch, a fusion of natural resins, print a content full of magic and symbolism that represent rural Galicia.

Wine that does not understand in a hurry
Its beginnings are dated in the year 1997 in the Chantada subzone and belonging to the D.O. Ribeira Sacra. The facade of this winery is a 16th century manor house and owes its name to the Roman road that served as a link between Astorga and Baraga with the aim of moving the magnificent local wines. A commitment to quality and the preservation of traditions. At the foot of these vineyards we find the banks of the Miño, a landscape worth admiring.

On the route shared by the riverside town of Belesar with Los Peareas, the 9 hectares of vineyards of Esperón, bathed by the waters of the river Miño and with an ancestral tradition that helped that their wines reach Rome in amphorae.
It was founded in 2003 surrounded by an environment with centuries-old vineyards, which help create its characteristic quality product. His working method is meticulous from the strain itself, thus being able to ensure wines with varietals in their greatest splendor.
CELLAR AND OLERÍA FIGULUS

Figulus, potters in Latin
Belonging to artisans Tomás López and Otilia Arias, this is one of the two artisan workshops that keep alive the great pottery tradition of Sober, a type of craft typical of the área Lugo, specifically from the Ribeira Sacra.
This workshop is located in the town of Corballa, belonging to the parish of Proendos.

Wines and spirits
This winery offers incomparable views of “O Cabo do mundo”, a mystical area full of of legends where orography plays a fundamental role in wine development.
Here you will learn to distinguish the different types of wine production and native varieties, observing the course of the River Miño and being able to explore the best orientations to cultivate the vine. This winery also has a distillery for liquor products, creams and schnapps.
